Illustrator
So here we have most of my Illuatrator projects. The major difference between Photoshop and Illustrator is Illustrator creates vector graphics, while Photoshop creates bitmap graphics. That's as in depth as I'll go with that explanation. There's an abvious style difference, but if you want to study up on vector vs bitmap you'll have to look somewhere else. Personally, I like vector more. So without further ado, here's my work. Same as before, just click on an image to see a larger version.
This assignment was basically an exercise in using the pen and pathfinder tools. I had to make some crop circle designs, one focusing on radial symmetry and the other based on linear symmetry. Here's the one that focused on radial symmetry:
And here's the one that focused on linear symmetry:
For this assignment we did a study on graphic reductions. You take something in real life and recreate it using basic shapes. You see this a lot in business logos. I decided to graphically reduce a Manta Ray. Here's the result:
This assignment was to create two tribal tattoos. Yeah, tattoos are a little rediculous (in my opinion, at least...no offense to anyone who has one), but tribal tattoos make great pen tool exercises. Anyway, here's the first one:
And here's the second one:
For this project I had to find a song and make an abstract illustration based on the feel and style of the song. I chose to make this abstract for Misirlou by Dick Dale. If you haven't heard the song I recommend listening to it.
This project was to create a poster for the 48 hour film project. They actually had a competition for the top ten poster designs, but our class didn't get them done on time or something of that nature, and I'm not sure if they are going to do another poster contest. Anyway, I wanted to make a retro horror movie style poster and this is what I came up with:
And lastly we have one of my personal favorites. We were instructed to make a graphical portrait of someone. I chose to make a portrait of The Violator from the Spawn movie, who was played by John Leguizamo. Good movie, for those who haven't seen it. Go rent and or purchase it and enjoy the cinematic adventure.

This is another widescreen desktop background that I made one day. It plays with typography and negative space and is one of my favorite sayings.
More wallpaper madness! This time I used a little Photoshop and Illustrator to make this one.
The same old song and dance here. If you can't tell, I like making wallpapers.
Another illustration using a monkey. This one is a bit more simple.
